Bio-Integrated Device Electronics Lab (BiDEL)
Soft electronics that live on, and inside, the body.
Soft electronics that live on, and inside, the body.
An ultrathin wireless sensor conforming to the wrist.
A blood test captures a single moment, but the body changes every minute. At BiDEL, we build ultrathin, soft and wireless electronic devices that sit on the skin or inside the body and continuously read its chemistry, including glucose, pH, proteins, RNA and neurotransmitters, so that chronic diseases can be detected earlier, monitored continuously and treated more precisely.
Rooted in semiconductor device engineering, we work across the full stack: from biocompatible materials and individual devices, to sensors, circuits and complete wireless systems, all the way to in vivo validation with clinical collaborators. We also link sensing to therapy by connecting measured signals to on-demand drug delivery.
